Kim Oanh Group supports over 5 billion VND to help people in the flood-hit areas of the North overcome difficulties.

(NLDO) - Along with 150 tons of rice, through the Fatherland Front Committees of the above provinces, Kim Oanh Group donated 1.5 billion VND and more than 1,000 gifts including new clothes, backpacks, and notebooks to students in localities affected by natural disasters.

Responding to the call of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front "Join hands for people in flood-affected areas", Kim Oanh Group (KOG) and the Heart Start-up Fund contributed over 5 billion VND, of which staff, employees and close friends donated an additional nearly 900 million VND.

In coordination with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Binh Duong and Dong Nai provinces from September 14 to 18, KOG and the Heart Start Fund organized the donation of 150 tons of rice and many essential goods in 6 provinces of Yen Bai , Lao Cai, Cao Bang, Lang Son, Bac Kan and Tuyen Quang.

Mrs. Nong Thi Dong in Lung Thum village, Trang Phai commune, Van Quan district, Lang Son province could not hide her sadness when all the property in her house was considered to be washed away by the flood. "I am very grateful to the people from the South for bringing rice here to help the people here. These 20 kilos of rice can help me and my family eat for more than 10 days" - Mrs. Dong was emotional.

According to Ms. Dang Thi Kim Oanh, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of Kim Oanh Group, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of the Tu Tam Startup Fund, 150 tons of rice were transported from Dong Thap to Hanoi and immediately after that, thanks to the support of the Logistics Department, the Special Forces Command transported it day and night to 15 districts in the flood-affected areas to promptly help people overcome the immediate difficulties.

Kim Oanh Group visited and encouraged the families of victims lost in the recent flood in Cao Bang City, and also visited and gave gifts to some people being treated at Lao Cai Provincial General Hospital.
