Farmers in Lam Thao commune take care of summer-autumn vegetable crops
To focus on protecting the production of the late summer-autumn crop and urgently deploying the 2025 winter crop production, the Department of Agriculture and Environment has requested the People's Committees of communes and wards to focus on directing the quick harvesting of rice and vegetables that are ripe enough with the motto "green at home is better than ripe in the fields" and proceed with land preparation to prepare for immediate winter crop planting; assigning specialized staff to closely follow the grassroots to guide the arrangement of winter crop structure, applying appropriate technical measures to ensure planting in the best time frame.
For warm-loving plants such as corn, soybeans, zucchini, pumpkin, cucumber, vegetables, etc., plant before September 30; direct the planting of warm-loving and cold-loving vegetables appropriately, focusing on expanding the area of vegetables with high economic value such as asparagus, tomatoes, chili, cucumber, zucchini, pumpkin, etc.
Leafy vegetables such as mustard greens need to be planted in separate seasons to avoid local product stagnation; focus on care and fertilization right from the beginning of the season so that the plants can grow well, increase productivity, quality, and achieve high economic efficiency.
