At noon on September 11, a fishing boat suddenly caught fire on the Nhat Le River (Quang Tri Province). Border guards at Nhat Le station quickly controlled and extinguished the fire after more than an hour.

At about 12 noon on September 11, at the wharf of Ha Thon village, Dong Hoi ward ( Quang Tri province), a fire broke out on a fishing boat with registration number QB 91866 TS.

This fishing boat is owned by Mr. Hoang Canh (born 1992, residing in Ha Thon). While the boat was anchored in the middle of the river, it suddenly caught fire.

Immediately after receiving the news, Nhat Le Border Guard Station mobilized 10 officers and soldiers along with a canoe to quickly arrive and coordinate with local people to put out the fire.

By 1:10 p.m., the fire was basically extinguished, preventing the risk of spreading to other fishing boats.

The fire was brought under control.

The cause of the fire and the extent of damage are being investigated and counted.
