The above clip after being posted received mixed reactions from the public, many people said that the karaoke bar above was tarnishing the image of the youth volunteer.
What did the karaoke bar representative say?
At noon on March 20, Tuoi Tre Online contacted the karaoke bar's representative and related parties to clarify the incident.
According to a representative of the Paris Club karaoke bar, the people wearing youth volunteer uniforms in the clip posted online are employees working at the bar.
After these employees were drafted into the military, they held a farewell party and posted the clip on their personal TikTok channels.
"This clip was posted in February 2024. The youth volunteer uniform worn by the staff in the clip is a performance costume.
These young people filmed the clip during a party, having fun with a revolutionary song playing in the background, and had no intention of disgracing the army," the representative of the karaoke bar explained.
When asked why the clip was posted on the employee's personal TikTok, but then reposted on the TikTok channel named after the restaurant, Karaoke Paris Club Linh Dam, this person explained that this is a channel of independent collaborators, not the restaurant's official channel.
"We have a system of booking collaborators (people who call and invite customers to the restaurant - PV) so they post clips to attract customers, but we do not have an official TikTok channel.
These collaborators create their own TikTok channels, post them, and if they get customers through this, they will receive a percentage of the bill when the customers use the service. So these people often use the name of the restaurant to advertise to attract customers to get a percentage, but this clip is not directly posted by the restaurant" - this person explained.
City police and inspectors of two departments took action.

Informing Tuoi Tre Online , the leader of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports Inspectorate said that regarding the above incident, the Department Inspectorate is coordinating with PA03 (Internal Political Security Department, Hanoi City Police), along with Hoang Mai District Police to verify and clarify the incident.
"We have to verify and fight to see if the content in the clip took place at the Paris Club Linh Dam karaoke bar or not.
PA03 is also coordinating with the Hanoi Department of Information and Communications to verify the source of the uploaded documents. We have to do it in many ways. Once the violation is verified, we will coordinate with the People's Committee of Hoang Mai district to handle it and report back," he added.
