The Cong - Viettel wants foreign referees to officiate the match against Ninh Binh

The Cong - Viettel Club proposed that the V-League organizing committee hire a foreign referee to officiate the match between the team and Ninh Binh for the top spot in the upcoming round 6.

On September 30, Viettel Sports Company Limited - the management unit of The Cong - Viettel Club - sent a document to Vietnam Professional Football Joint Stock Company (VPF) to propose that the tournament organizing committee consider inviting a foreign referee to officiate the match between this team and Ninh Binh Club, taking place on October 2, in round 6 of V-League 2025 - 2026.

With the above proposal, The Cong - Viettel Club wants to aim for a fair and objective match, contributing to strengthening the audience's trust in the transparency and professionalism of the tournament.

"We believe that applying international arbitration will contribute to creating positive public opinion, enhancing the prestige and professional image of the tournament in the eyes of fans, as well as domestic and foreign media," said the management unit of The Cong Club - Viettel.

Since both The Cong - Viettel and Ninh Binh are unbeaten, the match between the two teams will decide the top spot in the V-League rankings at this time.

After 5 rounds, Ninh Binh Club is leading the table (with 4 wins, 1 draw), while The Cong - Viettel is in 4th place with 11 points (3 wins, 2 draws). If they win, coach Velizar Popov's team will be at the top of the table. At this time, only The Cong - Viettel has the ability to beat Ninh Binh.
