(NLDO) - Metro Line 1 (Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien) officially added cashless payment and free wifi broadcasting, improving convenience for passengers.


Urban Railway Company No. 1 (HURC1) has just deployed additional cashless payment methods on metro line No. 1 (Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien), to enhance convenience for passengers.

From March 14, ShopeePay e-wallet will be integrated into the system, allowing passengers to use QR codes to buy tickets for metro line 1.

From March 12, passengers can use Visa international cards (including credit cards, debit cards, prepaid cards) in the form of contactless cards or virtual cards to pay directly at the ticket gates at the stations. On the same day, Ben Thanh station also officially provided free wifi service for passengers.

In addition, from March 14, ShopeePay e-wallet will be integrated into the system, allowing passengers to use QR codes to buy tickets and pay directly when traveling by train.

Thus, currently, passengers on metro line 1 can pay by the following methods:

Swipe contactless bank cards on EMV card readers at ticket gates, including Mastercard, Napas and Visa.

Use the HCMC Metro app, select your route and pay on the app, then scan the QR code from the app at the ticket gate.

Payment via e-wallet: MoMo, ShopeePay.

Buy single ticket in cash at the ticket counter, receive train ticket in QR code to scan at the ticket gate.

Buy time-based tickets (day tickets, monthly tickets) on the HCMC Metro app, receive a QR code and use it to pass through the ticket gate.

In addition, passengers using monthly tickets can link their ID cards and scan the cards directly at the ID reader to board the train.
