International quality goes hand in hand with environmental protection

VAS Group "recycles" scrap iron and steel into high-quality products, minimizing negative impacts on the environment.

25 years of perseverance on the journey of “Rebirth to create”, the circular economic model that the Group applies has regenerated discarded iron and steel into high-quality, stable and environmentally friendly products. With input from scrap instead of raw materials from iron ore, VAS Green Steel contributes to preserving natural resources and reducing the burden of waste on Mother Earth.

VAS Nghi Son Factory (Thanh Hoa) is a modern factory investing in world- leading technology, maintaining the largest scale and production capacity in the VAS Group ecosystem.

Recycled steel materials are processed at Nghi Son Port Logistics Area - the only modern scrap washing area in Vietnam that invests in a misting system to filter dust, plants green trees, and installs layers of dust-blocking nets around the area to limit the impact on the environment. All wastewater is circulated and reused through a strictly monitored waste treatment system, reporting data daily to the management agency of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment .

Nghi Son Port Logistics Area (belonging to VAS Group) is the only material washing area in Vietnam today with an area of ​​nearly 30 hectares.

Applying the induction furnace system (no use of DO oil, coal) along with the world's leading advanced technology line of Danieli (Italy), VAS Green Steel achieves high durability, flexibility, shrinkage, and is environmentally friendly. Compared to traditional production methods, VAS Green Steel contributes to reducing 40% of CO2 emissions. Thanks to this outstanding advantage, VAS products have reached far in the international market, joining the green growth trend worldwide.

VAS green steel meets the strict standards of the domestic and international markets: Japan (JIS), UK (BS4449), USA (ASTM, SAE, J403), Australia (ACRS), selected in the construction of national symbolic and key projects such as: North - South Expressway, Hai Phong City Political - Administrative Center, Children's Hospital (Hanoi), Long Thanh International Airport (Dong Nai), Terminal T3 Tan Son Nhat Airport... contributing to building a sustainable "Green, Clean" life for future generations.

VAS green steel approaches the global ESG problem

After a quarter of a century, the Group's VAS Green Steel products have affirmed their brand position in the market thanks to their dual value system: international quality - environmental friendliness, bringing sustainable values ​​to the construction industry in particular and the Vietnamese economy in general.

In order to increase the “Green” commitment towards a sustainable steel industry, VAS Group proactively publishes data on raw materials, resource consumption and waste that meet the criteria of EPD (Environmental Product Declaration). This certification requires businesses to pass many strict tests and transparently disclose information on the impact of production on the environment throughout the entire product life cycle. With an impressive achievement of CO2 emissions in production below 750kg, VAS Group has become one of two steel factories in Vietnam to achieve this certification.
