Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Ha - Deputy Director of the Department of Quality Management, Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) affirmed that the content of the high school graduation exam closely follows the current general education program, mainly the 12th grade program, and does not include content outside the program that has been learned.
On the afternoon of March 28, at the conference on implementing the work of primary school enrollment, organizing high school graduation exams and evaluating the implementation of Circular No. 29/2024/TT-BGDDT organized by the Ministry of Education and Training, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Ha informed and noted some new points surrounding the 2025 High School Graduation Exam.
Regarding the exam, Mr. Ha said that the content of the high school graduation exam closely follows the current general education program, mainly the 12th grade program, and does not include content outside of the program that has been learned.
The thinking level is 40% knowledge, 30% understanding and 30% application. Increase the connection and application of knowledge and skills with reality, especially with differentiated content to accurately assess students' abilities.
With these new points, Mr. Ha noted, teachers need to strengthen guidance for students to read and study by themselves. Self-control and self-study are also among the three important general competencies mentioned in the 2018 General Education Program.
An important new point related to high school graduation is that the graduation score is only 50% of the high school graduation exam score, the remaining 50% is calculated from the 3 years of high school study.
According to Mr. Ha, this change is consistent with the new program with a focus on developing learners' abilities and qualities, and many of students' abilities and qualities are developed during the learning process.
