(NLDO)- On the way to the high school graduation exam, a candidate in Ho Chi Minh City had his vehicle break down and could not reach the exam location in time. He was handled humanely and promptly.

Mr. Ho Tan Minh, Chief of Office of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, said that this morning (June 27), student LQ (Binh Chanh district), a student of Han Thuyen High School, had his vehicle break down on the way to the exam site of Phu Nhuan High School.

Because it was almost exam time, LQ quickly ran to the exam site of Vinh Loc High School (Binh Tan District) to ask for help.

Upon receiving the information, the head of the testing site quickly reported to the HCM City Department of Education and Training for advice. With a humane and timely spirit, handling the situation to ensure the best interests of the candidates but still in accordance with the regulations, the leaders of the City Department of Education and Training checked the correct candidate, allowed the testing site to use a backup testing room to create conditions for this candidate to take the test on time and make a record to send the test to the marking council for processing. "This candidate has also received maximum support at the testing site" - Mr. Minh informed.

The report of the City Department of Education and Training in the morning exam session on June 27 also said that in the first elective subject, there were 97,050 candidates taking the exam, 384 candidates were absent, the percentage of candidates taking the exam was 99.6%.

Meanwhile, elective subject shift 2: 95,492 candidates took the exam, 152 candidates were absent, the rate of candidates taking the exam was 99.84%.

Mr. Minh said that in this year's high school graduation exam, despite thorough instructions, there were still candidates using their phones this morning. At the Nguyen Thai Binh Secondary School in District 6, a candidate deliberately used his phone. However, the exam site detected and promptly prevented the leaking of exam questions.
