According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, from the evening of September 26 to September 30, many dangerous weather patterns will occur in areas across the country; many areas will have heavy rain.

Warning of risk of heavy rain over 100mm/3h

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, from the evening of September 26 to the morning of September 27, the Northeast region, Phu Tho and Thanh Hoa will have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms with common rainfall from 30-60mm, locally very heavy rain of 120mm. From the afternoon of September 27, heavy rain will gradually decrease.

In addition, in the evening and night of September 26, the Northwest region, from Nghe An to Lam Dong and the South, will have scattered showers and thunderstorms with rainfall of 20-40mm, with some places experiencing heavy to very heavy rain of over 100mm.

From September 28 to 30, the North and the area from Thanh Hoa to Hue city are likely to experience widespread heavy rain with total rainfall ranging from 100-300mm, locally over 400mm; in the Northern Delta and from Thanh Hoa to Ha Tinh , rainfall is generally from 200-400mm, locally over 600mm.

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, from 4:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., the areas of Quang Tri, Gia Lai provinces and Hue City will continue to have rain with accumulated rainfall ranging from 20-40mm, in some places over 70mm.

Warning of the risk of flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides on steep slopes in many communes/wards: Kim Ngan, Le Ninh, Truong Phu; Dakrong, Huong Phung, Khe Sanh, Ta Rut, Tan Lap, Tan My, Thuong Trach, Truong Ninh, Truong Son, Tuyen Binh, Tuyen Hoa, Tuyen Phu (Quang Tri province); Hung Loc, Loc An, Phu Bai; Khe Tre, Long Quang, Nam Dong, Phong Dien, Phu Loc (Hue city); Chu Krey, Vinh Son, Vinh Thinh; An Toan, An Tuong, Binh An, Binh Hiep, Binh Khe, Binh Phu, Cuu An, Hoa Hoi, Hoi Son, KBang, Kim Son, Kong Bo La, An Khe, Phu Cat, Son Lang, Tay Son, Van Duc, Vinh Quang, Vinh Thanh (Gia Lai province).

Flash floods and landslides can have very negative impacts on the environment, threaten people's lives; cause local traffic congestion, affect the movement of vehicles; destroy civil and economic works, causing damage to production and socio-economic activities.

The hydrometeorological agency recommends that local authorities pay attention to reviewing bottlenecks and vulnerable locations in the area to have prevention and response measures.

From 12:00 to 15:00 on September 26, the areas of Quang Tri, Gia Lai provinces and Hue City had moderate to heavy rain such as: Truong Thuy (Quang Tri) 119.8mm; An Trung (Gia Lai) 92.4mm; Bach Ma National Park (Hue City) 46.4mm;...

Soil moisture models show that some areas in the above provinces are close to saturation (over 85%) or have reached saturation.
