According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting: At 1:00 a.m. on September 27, the center of storm No. 10 was at about 13.6 degrees North latitude - 118.1 degrees East longitude, about 710km southeast of Hoang Sa special zone ( Da Nang ), with the strongest wind at level 11-12 (103-133km/h), gusting to level 15. Storm No. 10 moved in the West Northwest direction, at a speed of about 35km/h (very fast, nearly twice the average speed). It is forecasted that by 7:00 p.m. on September 27, the center of storm No. 10 was in the sea area of Hoang Sa special zone, with a strength of level 12-13, gusting to level 16.
Due to the influence of storm No. 10, the sea area in the North and Central East Sea (including Hoang Sa special zone) has winds of level 6-7, then increasing to level 8-9, then continuing to increase to level 10-13, gusts of level 16, waves 6-10m high, very rough seas. Offshore Thanh Hoa- Quang Ngai (including Hon Ngu, Con Co, Ly Son) has winds of level 6-7, then increasing to level 10-13, gusts of level 16, waves 3-7m high, very rough seas (can sink large ships). In the North Central Coast, water levels will rise 1-1.5m, causing a risk of flooding low-lying areas, landslides of sea dykes, and destruction of aquaculture areas. On land, provinces from Thanh Hoa to Northern Quang Tri will have winds of level 6-12, gusting to level 14, causing very heavy damage. Areas from Quang Ninh- Ninh Binh , Southern Quang Tri-Hue will have winds of level 6-7, gusting to level 8-9.
