Agree on solutions to improve the efficiency of using 35 police headquarters in border villages of Salavan and Savannakhet provinces.

Today, March 19, in Huong Hoa district, a working session took place between Quang Tri Provincial Police and the police of Salavan and Savannakhet provinces (Laos) on measures to manage and use police headquarters in border villages.

Implementing the plan to deploy the cooperation agreement between the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and Laos on supporting the police of Lao provinces to build and use police headquarters in the villages bordering Vietnam-Laos, as of March 2024, Quang Tri Provincial Police have completed the handover of 35 headquarters to the police of Salavan and Savannakhet provinces.

In general, the police of the three provinces have coordinated closely and completed the work progress according to the agreed content. In order to further promote the effectiveness of management and use of these headquarters, the police leaders of the three provinces have discussed to remove difficulties and obstacles and proposed many ideas to effectively use the above police headquarters.

After a working session, the police leaders of the three provinces agreed on measures to improve the efficiency of using 35 police headquarters in the villages in the coming time.

That is, continue to conduct field surveys to propose to leaders at all levels to ensure funding sources for operations; advise on perfecting internal regulations and working coordination regulations of the police of the three provinces; ensure living conditions such as electricity, water, accommodation; police of border districts regularly hold meetings and exchange practical work on crime prevention and control, thereby advising the police directorate of each province.

Strengthen coordination in organizing border survey and investigation teams, jointly assess the areas and regions that subjects often take advantage of to gather, transport and illegally trade drugs, in order to have effective measures to prevent and combat this type of crime; regularly disseminate legal regulations to raise awareness of people in border areas.
