Valedictorian "won" a scholarship of more than 250 million VND with a special invitation at the graduation ceremony

(NLDO) - Among the 1,594 students of Ho Chi Minh City University of Law who were awarded graduation certificates, 44 students were ranked excellent and 457 students were ranked good.

On the morning of August 24, Ho Chi Minh City University of Law held a graduation ceremony for 1,594 full-time students at the Riverside Palace Convention Center (Vinh Hoi Ward, Ho Chi Minh City).

New graduates thank their parents before receiving their diplomas.

According to statistics, among 1,594 students awarded degrees this time, 44 students were classified as excellent (2.76%), and 457 students were classified as good (28.67%).

Standing out at the ceremony was the valedictorian Cao Duc Anh, a student of class CLC46, the high-quality English-enhanced law program, class 46, with an average score of 3.9/4.0.

Dr. Le Truong Son, Principal of Ho Chi Minh City University of Law, said this is the highest academic achievement in more than four decades of formation and development of the school.

Therefore, the school decided to award a full scholarship for the doctoral training program (2026-2029) of Ho Chi Minh City University of Law with a total value of 252 million VND to this student, along with an invitation to stay at the school as a lecturer according to the policy of attracting young talents.

In his speech, valedictorian Duc Anh expressed his deep gratitude to the lecturers - who not only impart knowledge but also guide students to mature in personality; at the same time, he expressed his infinite gratitude to parents and relatives, the solid support for each student to achieve today's achievements.

By March 2026, Ho Chi Minh City University of Law will celebrate 50 years of tradition and 30 years of its official name.

In addition, the school also awarded 408 new graduates who graduated as valedictorians of the whole school, valedictorians of the major, excellent students, excellent students of the entire course, and 142 students who contributed to class management, school activities, and union work, student movements, etc. The total amount of money used for awards was more than 600 million VND.
