Budget revenue reached 88.5% of the year's estimate, up 28.5%

Total state budget revenue in August 2025 is estimated at 158.8 trillion VND. Cumulative total state budget revenue in the past 8 months is estimated at nearly 1,740 trillion VND, equal to 88.5% of the yearly estimate, up 28.5% over the same period last year.

The above information was announced by the General Statistics Office on the morning of September 6. Of which, domestic revenue is estimated at 1,498.8 trillion VND, equal to 89.8% of the year's estimate and up 32.7% over the same period last year; revenue from crude oil is estimated at 32.7 trillion VND, equal to 61.4% of the year's estimate and down 17.6% over the same period last year; budget revenue from import-export activities is estimated at 207.6 trillion VND, equal to 88.3% of the year's estimate and up 12.3% over the same period last year.

Regarding budget expenditure, total state budget expenditure in August is estimated at 183.1 trillion VND. Cumulative total state budget expenditure in the first 8 months of 2025 is estimated at 1,450.3 trillion VND, equal to 56.3% of the year's estimate and up 31.5% over the same period last year.

Of which, regular expenditure in the first 8 months of 2025 is estimated at 968 trillion VND, equal to 60.6% of the annual estimate and up 27.6% over the same period last year; development investment expenditure reached 409.2 trillion VND, equal to 51.7% and up 49.4%; debt interest payment was 70.4 trillion VND, equal to 63.7% and up 1.3%.

Budget expenditures meet the requirements of socio -economic development, national defense, security, state management and payment of due debts, care for beneficiaries of salaries and social allowances, perform tasks of spending on science and technology development, digital transformation, and timely payment of regimes and policies for beneficiaries according to Decree No. 178/2024/ND-CP and Decree No. 67/2025/ND-CP of the Government.
