Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's visit to India contributes to strengthening political trust, deepening multifaceted cooperation, and making Vietnam-India relations more substantial and effective.

On the morning of August 1, at the Presidential Palace in the capital New Delhi, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi presided over the official welcoming ceremony for Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on a State visit to India.
From early morning, the Indian army's cavalry and honor guard were neat and solemn, ready to perform the welcoming ceremonies for Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.
When Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's motorcade arrived at the gate of the Presidential Palace, the Cavalry team came out to welcome and escort the Prime Minister's motorcade into the Ceremony Stage area.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi was waiting and went to the car door to welcome Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.
As Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh stepped onto the podium, under the Vietnamese and Indian flags, the national anthems of the two countries were played by the military band.
As soon as the national anthems of the two countries ended, the Captain of the Indian Army Guard of Honour invited the Prime Minister to review the Guard of Honour.
Afterwards, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Prime Minister Narendra Modi introduced to each other the delegations from each side attending the welcoming ceremony.
The welcome ceremony ended with warm handshakes.
This is Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's first visit as head of the Government and the first visit to India by a Vietnamese Prime Minister in 10 years.
The visit contributes to strengthening political trust, deepening multifaceted cooperation, and making the Vietnam-India Comprehensive Strategic Partnership more substantive and effective in politics, diplomacy, security, defense, economy, trade, and investment.
This is also an opportunity for the two countries to increase sharing on regional and international security and strategic issues and affirm mutual support in multilateral forums of mutual concern.

Also on the morning of August 1, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the Vietnamese delegation laid wreaths in memory of Mahatma Gandhi at the Raj Ghat Memorial in New Delhi.
The Prime Minister and the delegation were introduced to some highlights of Mahatma Gandhi's life and career and performed a flower-laying ceremony to commemorate the Indian national hero.
The Prime Minister and the delegation respectfully bowed; pledged to learn and follow the example of Mahatma Gandhi's selfless sacrifice for the cause of prosperous development and well-being of the people, especially through the philosophy of "non-violence."
Writing in the Guest Book, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that the thoughts of Mahatma Gandhi, the “great soul” of the Indian people, will always be an eternal symphony, resounding forever in the minds of the people of India, Vietnam and other countries in the world./.
