Prime Minister works with technology corporation that just exported 5,000 UAVs to South Korea

(Chinhphu.vn) - At noon on August 13, at the Government Headquarters, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh had a working session with relevant ministries, branches, agencies and representatives of CT Group on participating in the development of strategic technology products and some proposals and recommendations of the Group.

CT Group is one of the leading private corporations in the field of technology and innovation in Vietnam, and was awarded the First Class Labor Medal in 2022.

Reporting at the meeting, CT Group's leaders said that the Group is persistently striving with its self-reliance strategy to master the world's most advanced technologies in 9 high-tech industries, including: Semiconductors; artificial intelligence; drones; green digital currency; carbon credit floors; zero-emission folding houses; electric cars-trains, quantum computers; new energy; genes and cells; digital copies (Digital Twin); and 3 traditional industries of sustainable development, including: Smart cities; development of green transport, technical, economic , social and logistics infrastructure; clean food, health care.

As one of the pioneers in Vietnam developing 9 high-tech industries, CT Group focuses on investing in theoretical research, design development, commercial production and export.

In particular, the Group has built a strategic doctrine to master semiconductor technology, deployed 3 factories, 2 customer care centers in Silicon Valley, California and Phoenix, Arizona (USA); established 2 seed training centers in NIC (Hoa Lac, Hanoi) and Thu Duc (HCMC), had 2 graduation courses to meet the demand for high-quality human resources, contributing to the implementation of the goal in Decision No. 1017/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister on developing human resources in the semiconductor industry.

The Group is also one of the pioneers in the field of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in Vietnam, leading the trend of innovation and shaping the future of the frontier space economy (LAE - Low Altitude Economy). Notably, yesterday, August 12, CT Group signed an export order of 5,000 UAVs to Korea in Seoul, Korea, under the witness of General Secretary To Lam and Korean Prime Minister Kim Min Seok.

At the meeting, CT Group made strong, large-scale commitments to research, development, and application of strategic technologies (UAV, building a frontier space economy; semiconductor industry, comprehensive national digital transformation, investment in high-tech infrastructure, biotechnology, etc.); and at the same time, presented a number of proposals and recommendations.

After listening to the reports and opinions, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh welcomed the initiative and investment and development programs of CT Group, with projects and orientations consistent with Vietnam's core technology development strategy, the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's policies and laws.

The Prime Minister requested the Group to continue this spirit, the spirit of dedication to contribute to the development of science and technology, innovation, digital transformation, and implementation of the "four pillars" resolutions of the Politburo (on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation, digital transformation; private economic development; law making and enforcement; international integration).

The Prime Minister congratulated the Group on exporting a number of high-tech products and asked relevant ministries and branches to continue to support and give more strength to CT Group.

Commenting on the proposals of the Party Central Committee, the Prime Minister said that the agencies have been and are continuing to amend, supplement and perfect relevant laws, decrees and circulars, and requested the Party Central Committee to continue to give comments and proposals on institutions, mechanisms and policies.

The Prime Minister said that the Politburo has established a Central Steering Committee on Science, Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation, headed by General Secretary To Lam; the Government has a Steering Committee on Science, Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation, and Project 06, headed by the Prime Minister. The Prime Minister will direct relevant agencies to continue to remove difficulties and obstacles in coordination between agencies.

The Prime Minister directed the Government Office, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the State Bank, relevant ministries, branches, agencies and localities to consider, resolve and support CT Group in implementing factory construction; access the preferential credit package of VND 500,000 billion for science, technology, innovation, digital transformation and strategic infrastructure; support brand building; place orders and encourage domestic production, contributing to ensuring economic security.

The Prime Minister requested ministries, branches, agencies and localities to continue to accompany businesses in general, including CT Group, to resolve tasks according to their functions, tasks and powers. If beyond their authority, they must report to competent authorities for consideration and decision.

Emphasizing that if businesses are successful, the country will be successful, the Prime Minister asked CT Group to be a pioneer in implementing the "pillar" resolutions of the Politburo, carrying out the 4th industrial revolution with the spirit of "what is said is done, committed to, done, done, done will have specific, quantifiable products and results".
