Responding to questions from reporters of Tin Tuc and Dan Toc newspaper, on the occasion of the "Vietnam Card Day" press conference held on September 26, about solutions to support small and medium enterprises, small traders, and business households in digital payments, Ms. Doan Hong Nhung - member of the Executive Board, Director of Retail Division of Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam (Vietcombank) said: "Vietcombank currently has credit packages to support customers, along with the DigiShort solution, allowing business households to accept cashless payments, manage sales software, and issue electronic invoices."
In the coming time, Vietcombank will continue to develop a credit classification and scoring system based on transaction data, thereby offering more suitable, transparent and safe loan packages. This is an important part of realizing the goals of Resolution 68; at the same time promoting the digitalization process and enhancing competitiveness for the private economic sector.
Mr. Nguyen Quang Hung - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietnam National Payment Joint Stock Company (Napas), Co-Head of the Organizing Committee of "Vietnam Card Day" said that, in addition to traditional payment methods, Napas is developing new payment solutions with mobile devices, low cost, easy to install, helping payment acceptance units to deploy more conveniently.
Recently, many banks have issued cards and integrated digital payment solutions on the Napas platform. Products such as Napas Contactless or Shopper are increasingly developing, bringing convenience and suitability to user needs.
On September 26, Napas also announced the expansion of the Napas Tap and Pay mobile payment service, a payment solution for domestic card users in Vietnam. “The outstanding feature of the service is the ability to make payments simply with a light touch on the payment acceptance device (POS) via NFC (Near-Field Communication). Customers only need to add a card (digitize the card), apply to Napas cards including debit cards, domestic credit cards, prepaid cards on the mobile banking app and make payments,” said a Napas representative.
Regarding the bank's solutions to minimize risks for customers, Ms. Doan Hong Nhung said that thanks to early investment in digital transformation, Vietcombank's digital banking channel has attracted more than 17 million regular customers. According to statistics, more than 90% of transactions are conducted on digital channels, showing the level of engagement and trust of customers in daily life.
"To ensure safety, Vietcombank has persistently deployed a multi-layered technology system with many advanced authentication and security measures. During its operations, no incidents have been recorded arising from the bank that have affected customers. We absolutely comply with the requirements of state management agencies and industry associations, and even proactively apply some risk prevention measures in advance," said a Vietcombank representative.
Ms. Doan Hong Nhung, for example, Vietcombank regularly coordinates with the Ministry of Public Security to review data, detect signs of fraud to promptly warn and support customers in handling incidents. In addition, the bank periodically sends information to customers to update new forms of fraud and scams. In case a customer loses a phone, card or personal information, Vietcombank has a process and solution to respond quickly, minimizing damage.
