Vietnam Green Building Week 2023 is chaired by the Ministry of Construction in coordination with ministries, branches, localities, agencies, organizations, associations, and businesses in the fields of production, services, construction, energy saving and efficiency, and green building development. The week includes a series of conferences, seminars, talks, capacity building training courses, and student green architecture competitions held in many localities across the country.
As a large and prestigious event held annually, this year's Week attracted more than 1,000 delegates to participate in seminars and exhibitions in fields such as design consulting, architecture, real estate, construction materials, equipment, technology, electromechanical products, green, smart, energy-saving, low-emission interior products, etc.
In the context of the world suffering from extreme weather phenomena, impacts of climate change, resource depletion, lack of energy supply, pressure from population growth and rapid urbanization, countries around the world, including Vietnam, have oriented development policies towards green, smart, low-emission and sustainable development.
In Vietnam, the policies of the Party, State, National Assembly and Government are consistent in the viewpoint and goal that economic development must be associated with environmental protection, economical and efficient use of energy and resources, reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, and ensuring human health.
Along with the world's green transformation trend after COP 26, many businesses and investors in Vietnam in general and in the construction sector in particular have built and implemented specific plans and solutions to develop businesses in a green, low-emission and carbon-neutral direction as the Government's 2050 target. However, to achieve the above goal, there are still many challenges, requiring determined efforts and specific, practical and effective actions from all relevant parties.
The Green Building Week 2023 event is an opportunity for policymakers, experts, businesses, consulting firms, banks, agencies, international organizations and those working in the construction sector to sit together to discuss solutions to promote green transformation in the construction industry through 1 Plenary Session and 4 Specialized Workshops with specific contents: Development of green factories, green offices, green buildings - towards improving the quality of living and working spaces; Trends in using green, energy-saving and environmentally friendly materials; Application of advanced equipment and technology, towards modern, smart, environmentally friendly construction works, low emissions and ensuring comfort for users; Green finance, green credit - Driving force for sustainable development.
In parallel with the Seminar programs, the Vietnam Green Building Week Exhibition 2023 will also gather many suppliers of equipment technology, construction material manufacturers, products used in construction, investors, businesses, real estate project developers, urban developers, housing pioneers in the trend of energy saving, environmental friendliness, green building development, aiming for low emissions and carbon neutrality such as: Panasonic, Daikin, Sika, Saint Gobain, Capital House...
In addition to the main activities, within the framework of the event, there are also sideline activities such as: Discussions on policies and solutions to promote green building development, seminars, intensive training courses, field trips, press awards for outstanding press works on green building, student green architecture competitions, etc.
