According to information from an internet service provider (ISP) in Vietnam, all problems encountered on all submarine fiber optic cables connecting Vietnam to international countries have been resolved.
All 5/5 submarine fiber optic cables connecting Vietnam to the world have fixed their errors, helping to completely restore internet traffic. |
Previously, at the end of February 2023, all 5 submarine fiber optic cables connecting Vietnam to the world had problems, seriously affecting the internet speed from Vietnam to the world. Many users were also unable to access websites and use online services with servers located abroad.
After the fiber optic cables were repaired, new errors continuously appeared on these submarine fiber optic cables. Most recently, at the end of September 2023, problems continuously occurred on two fiber optic cables AAE-1 (Asia - Africa - Europe) and APG (Asia - Pacific ).
Up to now, all errors encountered on the submarine fiber optic cables have been fixed, helping to completely restore internet traffic from Vietnam to international destinations.
In addition to the submarine optical cables, there are currently a number of land optical cables connecting Vietnam to other international countries. However, the majority of internet traffic in Vietnam is transmitted through submarine optical cables.
In fact, incidents on submarine fiber optic cables from Vietnam to international countries have become quite familiar in recent times, occurring at least a few times every year, causing many difficulties and inconveniences for domestic internet users.
Internet service providers in Vietnam are also looking for solutions to divert the exploitation of fiber optic cables on land to avoid being affected by the submarine fiber optic cable breaks. However, currently, internet traffic from Vietnam to the world still mainly depends on the submarine fiber optic cables.
