DNVN - According to the Vice Chairman of the State Securities Commission ( Ministry of Finance ), the stock market is facing non-traditional security risks. These include transnational crimes, high-tech crimes, etc. that can have a general impact on market operations.
Vice Chairman of the State Securities Commission (SSC) Pham Hong Son said that recently, along with traditional security, non-traditional security issues have been emerging.
Non-traditional security risks, challenges and threats are becoming increasingly evident and directly impacting all areas from economics , society, culture to defense and security, and challenging the country's sustainable development.
In the securities sector, over the past 24 years, the Vietnamese stock market has developed strongly. Up to now, the average securities trading value has reached 1 billion USD/session, the daily trading order volume has reached 1.2 - 1.8 million orders, and the number of accounts has reached more than 7 million accounts.
“Along with that development, the stock market also faces risks, including non-traditional security issues such as transnational crime, high-tech crime, etc., which can have a general impact on market operations,” Mr. Son emphasized.
On the management side, the State Securities Commission is aware of and always emphasizes the issue of ensuring safety and security in the stock market. Recently, the State Securities Commission has also sent documents to securities companies and fund management companies warning about the security of online stock trading systems, requesting them to strengthen the review and ensure information security for stock trading activities.
The State Securities Commission recommends that securities companies need to research, propagate, and disseminate to raise awareness of non-traditional security in the company, review and strengthen security, safety, and system protection. Thereby, minimizing risks to the market, ensuring sustainable market operations.
The State Securities Commission will continue to coordinate with relevant units to propagate and train to raise awareness of safety and security issues in the stock market.
