Lao General Secretary and President sends thank you letter

Lao General Secretary and President Thongloun Sisoulith sent a letter of thanks to General Secretary and President To Lam.

On the morning of September 13, General Secretary and President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith and his wife, along with a high-ranking delegation of the Lao Party and State, left Ho Chi Minh City to return home, successfully concluding their state visit to Vietnam.

According to the Central Foreign Affairs Commission, after returning home, the Lao General Secretary and President sent a letter of thanks to General Secretary and President To Lam.
The letter reads as follows:

My wife and I, along with the high-ranking delegation of the Lao Party and State, have returned home safely. On behalf of the delegation, I sincerely thank Comrade General Secretary and President To Lam and the leaders of the Party, State and people of fraternal Vietnam, especially the people of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, for their warm, respectful, close, comradely and brotherly welcome during our state visit to Vietnam.

I am very impressed and highly appreciate the results of the state visit and the meeting between the two Politburoes of Laos and Vietnam this time as well as the in-depth and frank exchanges and high consensus between the senior leaders of our two Parties and States in assessing the results of bilateral cooperation in recent times as well as the commitment to continue protecting, promoting and nurturing the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, two States and peoples of Laos and Vietnam, Vietnam and Laos to increasingly develop to new heights, comprehensively connecting the two economies of Laos and Vietnam, strengthening and exploiting the strengths of each country, helping each other to develop together, bringing practical benefits to the people of our two countries, contributing to peace, stability and cooperation and development in the region and the world.

Wishing Comrade General Secretary and President To Lam, his wife and other senior leaders of the Party and State of Vietnam good health, happiness and success in their noble positions.
