SJC Company is always responsible to customers for the quality of SJC gold bars.

Ms. Le Thuy Hang - General Director of SJC - confirmed the above when talking to the press about SJC Company temporarily stopping buying "one-word" gold in recent days.

Ms. Hang said SJC gold bars are produced according to ISO 9001/2015 standards.

"One letter" gold is SJC gold bars with a serial number consisting of a letter before the number. This is the gold produced by SJC Company from 1992 - 1996.

For this "one-letter" gold bar, SJC Company has set aside a period of time for customers to convert to 2-letter gold bars without any cost.

Currently, the company still buys "one letter" SJC gold bars at the same price as "two letter" gold bars. The company will then process "one letter" gold into "two letter" SJC gold bars to sell to customers.

Ms. Hang also said that SJC gold with "one letter" and "two letters" that are dented, warped, and not up to the standards for circulation must be reprocessed. To reprocess, SJC Company needs to allocate resources and obtain permission from the State Bank.

In recent days, the company has temporarily stopped purchasing these types of gold due to objective reasons. Currently, the company has arranged resources to reprocess and will continue to purchase these types of gold again.

Consumers prefer "two-word" SJC gold bars

Regarding quality, Ms. Hang said that the "one-word" SJC gold bar has the same quality and weight as the "two-word" SJC gold bar.

But because the "one-word" gold bars were produced before 1996, after the "two-word" SJC gold bar product was born, consumers preferred to use the "two-word" SJC gold.

Currently, SJC Company no longer sells "one-letter" gold bars but only purchases them to reprocess into "two-letter" SJC gold bars.
