Ho Chi Minh City opens Nguyen Hue Flower Street for the Year of the Snake 2025

(NLDO)- Although held annually, each year Nguyen Hue Flower Street has a new look, with its own meaning and message.

On the evening of January 27 (the 28th day of the Lunar New Year), the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee opened Nguyen Hue Flower Street for the Year of the Snake 2025.

Also attending the opening ceremony were Ms. Truong My Hoa, former Vice President ; Ms. Pham Phuong Thao, former Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, former Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council.

In her opening speech, Vice Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Tran Thi Dieu Thuy affirmed that Nguyen Hue Flower Street is not only a unique cultural event to welcome the New Year but also a symbolic work of a dynamic, creative, modern and affectionate Ho Chi Minh City every time Tet comes and Spring comes.

According to the Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, Nguyen Hue Flower Street has a new feature every year, carrying its own meaning and message. In 2025, Nguyen Hue Flower Street is part of a series of major programs, events, and festivals of the city and the whole country to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Party, the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South, and the reunification of the country...

Art performance to celebrate the opening ceremony of Nguyen Hue Flower Street

In order to convey the New Year's message, opening the important events of 2025, the President Ho Chi Minh Monument area is designed solemnly, meaningfully, majestically and warmly.

The grand opening scene of Nguyen Hue Flower Street this year creates a "Spring Dance celebrating 50 years of unification" resounding with a triumphant and heroic song, firmly stepping into the new era of the homeland Vietnam.

Ms. Tran Thi Dieu Thuy said that in 2024, along with the whole country, Ho Chi Minh City has created a breakthrough, comprehensively developing the economic, cultural, social and people's life fields.

To meet the entertainment needs of people during the New Year celebration, the 2025 Tet Flower Street project was created from the dedication of the design team, artisans, and construction units who worked tirelessly day and night.

"This year's Nguyen Hue Flower Street opens before our eyes like a beautiful painting, unique and impressive works of art, adorned with brilliant flower colors, depicting the spring of the country and people of Vietnam, making us all proud of the "Brocade and Flower Mountains" on this beloved S-shaped strip of land" - Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee affirmed.

In particular, the space of Nguyen Hue Flower Street this year continues to be taken care of by the Consulate Generals of countries in Ho Chi Minh City through unique flower displays and art arrangements with 10 flower decoration booths, introducing the culture of each country including: USA, Netherlands, Laos, Italy, Indonesia, Korea, Russia, China, Thailand and the UK.

In the fifth consecutive year accompanying Nguyen Hue Flower Street, the collection of floral art works by the Consulates General will create a fresh charm, spreading fragrance and color, in harmony with the floral art decoration representing Vietnam by Rex Hotel - a member of Saigontourist Group.

This is an interesting combination, adding rich colors to the appearance of the 22nd Flower Street of Tet At Ty 2025.

Attractive destination for locals and tourists

The Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee informed that in order to create a unique brand for the city's traditional Tet atmosphere through the Flower Street project, the city's leaders acknowledged the key role of Saigontourist Group in organizing the implementation, directly organizing the design, managing the construction, as well as mobilizing socialized resources from accompanying businesses to serve this project.

With the theme "Brocade and flower mountains and rivers, happy spring", it will open to serve the spring travel and sightseeing needs of city residents and tourists from 7:00 p.m. on January 27 (the 28th of Tet) to 9:00 p.m. on February 2, 2025 (the 5th day of Tet).

Since its first implementation in 2004, Nguyen Hue Flower Street Tet 2025 has turned 22 years old.

Considered a cultural symbol of Tet in Ho Chi Minh City, this unique project is organized and implemented by Saigon Tourist Group in coordination with departments, agencies and businesses, under the direction of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.
