Ho Chi Minh City fines many spas for illegal medical examination and treatment

Accordingly, the Health Department Inspectorate has decided to fine Dang Thi Vinh - owner of Hien Anh Facial Care Facility (8D Tran Binh Trong, Ward 1, District 5) for many violations including: Providing medical examination and treatment services without a medical examination and treatment license; Providing medical examination and treatment without a medical examination and treatment practice certificate; Advertising medical examination and treatment services without a business license or medical examination and treatment practice certificate.

The owner of this business was fined 120 million VND and had his medical examination and treatment activities at the facility suspended until he had all the legal documents related to the medical examination and treatment activities. In addition, the owner had to pay back 5.5 million VND, the amount of illegal profits obtained from the violation, and had to remove the violating advertisements.

In addition to the above business household, the Health Department Inspectorate also fined Nguyen Trong Khanh - owner of Rita Homespa business household (796/21 Truong Sa, Ward 14, District 3) for also committing violations in medical examination and treatment activities.

Rita Homespa at 796/21 Truong Sa, Ward 14, District 3 has just been fined by the Inspector of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health.

Rita Homespa has violated the use of drugs, substances, and equipment to intervene in the human body (surgery, procedures, interventions involving injection, injection, pumping, radiation, waves, burning, or other invasive interventions) to change skin color, shape, weight, defects of body parts (skin, nose, eyes, lips, face, chest, abdomen, buttocks, and other parts of the human body), tattooing, spraying, and embroidering on the skin using injectable anesthetics that can only be performed at hospitals with cosmetic specialties or cosmetic clinics or medical examination and treatment facilities with specialized scope of activities in cosmetic specialties.

At the same time, this facility also advertised medical examination and treatment services without a medical examination and treatment license or medical practice certificate.

For the above violations, the Health Department Inspectorate fined the facility 60 million VND. In addition to the fine, this facility was also suspended from operation when it had full legal documents for medical examination and treatment activities. Forced to remove, dismantle, and delete advertisements when it did not have a license to operate medical examination and treatment.

In addition, Ms. Cao Thi Hoan (skin care worker at Rita Homespa) was also fined 30.5 million VND for violating the law on medical examination and treatment without a medical examination and treatment practice certificate and was forced to pay back 500,000 VND for the violation.
