The usual somber atmosphere at Children's Hospital 1 was replaced by bustling music and bright smiles as the hospital organized an early Mid-Autumn Festival for the children, their relatives and medical staff.

This annual event, now in its 8th season, attracted a large number of attendees, including Dr. Nguyen Tri Thuc, Deputy Minister of Health .
Mr. Thuc expressed his surprise at the scale and warm atmosphere of the program: "I was surprised when many children, relatives and doctors participated in this activity. That proves that the values of humanity, sharing and love have been spread."

The children’s eyes were glued to the stage with magic shows and lion and dragon dances. Not only the sick children but also their relatives had rare smiles during their days of treatment at the hospital.

Vo Minh Nam (6 years old), despite his hand being bandaged after a burn accident, still enthusiastically cheered along to every beat of music. Minh Hong, Nam's mother, shared: "When the nurses announced that the hospital had a Mid-Autumn Festival activity, he was excited all day. Because of waiting for the surgery schedule, the mother and son could not return home in time to be with their family on this occasion."

The early Mid-Autumn Festival program has practical meaning, encouraging and sharing joy with children undergoing treatment. Bao Han excitedly said: "I am very happy to have a jade rabbit lantern, moon cakes and lots of toys."

Artists participating in the program not only performed but also donated and brought loving gifts.

Previously, the hospital departments also organized a Mid-Autumn lantern making contest to give to children. Many necessities and toys were displayed at the booths as gifts.

Mr. Hoang Minh and his son excitedly brought home many gifts after participating in the program.

Also on this occasion, Deputy Minister Nguyen Tri Thuc sent flowers to congratulate Dr. Ngo Ngoc Quang Minh, who was recently appointed as Director of Children's Hospital 1 on September 30.
