Accordingly, at around 10:00 a.m. on September 9, Phong Chau bridge connecting Lam Thao and Tam Nong districts collapsed two spans.

Immediately after hearing the news of the Phong Chau bridge collapse, Mr. Ngo Van Khanh (born in 1998) immediately ran to the river bank about 1km away and called his family. At this time, Mr. Khanh discovered a victim struggling in the midst of the raging floodwaters. Immediately, he took the family boat with his uncle and younger brother, Mr. Ngo Quoc Trung (born in 2000, residing in Zone 5, Huong Non, Tam Nong).

At this time, Khanh's uncle drove the boat closer to where the victim was calling for help. Khanh himself stood at the bow of the boat and helped the victim onto the boat. Trung on the boat assisted, rescued and pulled the victim onto the boat safely.

According to Mr. Khanh, at that time the flood water and current were strong, making it very difficult to get close to the victim. When he pulled the victim out, he saw that the man was in a state of extreme panic, with many wounds on his body.

Fortunately, the victim was taken to the hospital in time and is now out of danger.
