Children learn how to protect themselves online

Thời ĐạiThời Đại14/02/2025

The Code of Conduct on Child Protection in the Online Environment issued by the Ministry of Information and Communications sets out 10 codes of conduct for children so that they can protect themselves in the online environment.

The Code of Conduct emphasizes learning about risks to children online and taking measures to ensure their safety when participating in online activities via computers, phones, and tablets.

You need to be careful and alert when participating in online activities and when searching for information on the Internet. Communicate and behave positively, civilly and respectfully with others online; share with friends safely, healthily and responsibly.

Children need to ask for the opinion and consent of their parents and caregivers before connecting with strangers online. Share with their parents, caregivers or teachers about the relationships, difficulties and troubles they encounter online. In particular, children need to be brave enough to report and denounce to the authorities when they encounter or discover acts of child abuse, risks to children online, and harmful content for children.

Do not access, use and share harmful information and content; do not participate in or imitate negative, nonsense, useless, unhealthy content on the internet. Be careful and responsible when sharing and providing personal information, images, and confidential information about your own or anyone else's private life on the internet.

Do not access links or content of unknown origin. Please leave and report inappropriate content or behavior. Do not participate in gang activities, attacks, impersonations, bullying, or humiliation of friends or other children.

When suspecting or detecting acts of child abuse, risks to children on the internet, or harmful content for children, it is necessary to promptly and promptly report and denounce to the following addresses: National hotline for child protection (number 111); nearest police agency; network for rescue and protection of children on the internet (VN-COP) at https://vn-cop.vn/bao-cao-xam-pham or email: [email protected] ).
