Preschool children and high school students in Bac Ninh are exempted from tuition fees.

GD&TĐ - From the 2025-2026 school year, preschool children and primary school students in public general education institutions in Bac Ninh province will be exempted from tuition fees.

On the afternoon of September 17, the Office of the Department of Education and Training of Bac Ninh province said that the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province has just issued a document on implementing tuition policy; exemption, reduction, and support of tuition fees from the 2025-2026 school year in the province.

According to the document, the Department of Education and Training is required to preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies and units to implement tuition policy; exempt, reduce, and support tuition fees and other revenues in the field of education and training for the 2025-2026 school year according to the direction of the Ministry of Education and Training .

Specifically, for tuition fees for the 2025-2026 school year, Decree No. 238/2025 must be implemented in accordance with regulations. In particular, preschool children, high school students, and students of general education programs in public educational institutions are exempt from tuition fees according to regulations.

For preschool children, high school students, and students of general education programs in private and public educational institutions in the area, the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province will submit to the People's Council of Bac Ninh province to issue tuition support levels according to the tuition fee framework prescribed in Decree No. 238/2025 but not exceeding the tuition fees of private and public educational institutions.

Vocational and higher education institutions review tuition fees for the 2025-2026 school year to ensure they do not exceed the prescribed ceiling.

Regarding the policy of tuition exemption, reduction, support for learning costs and tuition payment support, it is implemented fully and promptly in accordance with regulations. In particular, preschool children and primary school students do not have to submit applications for tuition exemption, reduction or tuition support.

Bac Ninh enhances the settlement of administrative procedures through the exploitation of electronic data available in the National Population Database and other specialized databases through the Public Service Portal to create maximum convenience for learners.

At the same time, inspect, check, monitor and be accountable to learners and society about the collection levels and fees of educational institutions under management in accordance with regulations; absolutely do not allow "over-collection" at the beginning of the school year. Along with that, direct and thoroughly instruct educational institutions to mobilize, manage and use funding in accordance with regulations.
