Deploying the Program to support people and businesses to have an online presence with the domain name “.vn”

The Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province has just issued Plan No. 0109/KH-UBND on implementing the Program to promote and support people, businesses, and business households to have a reliable and safe online presence with digital services using the national domain name ".vn" in Ca Mau province in the period 2025 - 2026.

The plan is issued with the aim of raising awareness among people, businesses, and business households about the importance of online presence and building digital brands on the Internet environment through the application of digital services (website, email) using the national domain name ".vn" in local digital economic and social activities. Transform awareness into actions of registration, use, experience, and expand access opportunities through online presence with websites/emails using the domain name ".vn".

In the period of 2025-2026, Ca Mau province sets the goal of spreading communication to 100% of businesses in the province, especially spreading communication to newly established SMEs within 1 year, business households with business registration certificates in the whole province; Spreading communication to 100% of universities, colleges, vocational schools in the whole province, young people aged 18 to 23 in the province; Registering to use at least 3,000 id.vn, biz.vn domain names (of which: id.vn reaches 2,400, biz.vn reaches 600) and digital services (website, email ..).

How to register a “.vn” domain name: (1) Access the website tenmien.vn; (2) Type in the search bar the desired domain name and field; (3) Select the appropriate domain name and registrar; (4) Provide subject authentication information to own the domain name.

Beneficiaries: People, Businesses, Business Households, Especially the young generation (from 18-23 years old) and small and medium enterprises.

To promote support for people and businesses to have a reliable and safe online presence with digital services using the national domain name .vn according to Decision No. 826/QD-BTTTT dated May 21, 2024 of the Ministry of Information and Communications approving the "Program to promote and support people, businesses, and business households to have a reliable and safe online presence with digital services using the national domain name .vn in provinces and cities across the country in the period of 2024 - 2025", the Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province requested provincial departments and branches; commune-level People's Committees; universities, colleges, vocational training institutions; political and social organizations; Media agencies strengthen the coordination of units and localities in the province in promoting and supporting people, businesses, and business households to have a reliable and safe online presence with digital services using the national domain name ".vn", improving the Provincial Digital Transformation Index (DTI), the Provincial E-commerce Index (EBI). At the same time, assign the Department of Science and Technology as the focal agency to preside over and coordinate with relevant units to organize the unified and synchronous implementation of the Plan.
