Taking place from August 30 to September 15, the exhibition displays 160 images, documents and artifacts according to three main themes. Part one, “Historical Autumn”, provides information about the leadership role of the Communist Party of Vietnam and President Ho Chi Minh in the struggle for independence, with historical milestones from 1930 to the event of Uncle Ho reading the Declaration of Independence on September 2, 1945.

Part two, entitled “The Power of Belief,” highlights the challenges the country faced after gaining independence, from fighting famine, illiteracy, foreign invaders to the resistance war against French colonialism. In particular, the exhibition emphasizes the Dien Bien Phu victory and the importance of national unity.

The third part with the theme "Following the Glory" takes viewers to the period of resistance against the US to save the country, with the highlight being the 1975 Spring General Offensive, completely liberating the South and unifying the country.

On the opening day, the exhibition attracted a large number of visitors. Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai, in Hoi Thuong Ward, Pleiku City, Gia Lai, was moved when seeing the historical images: “I think there should be more exhibitions like this to remind and educate about historical values. Coming here, I saw images of the August Revolution and the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, Uncle Ho in the days of the founding of the state, as well as his role in leading the struggle for national independence. On this occasion, I have relatives from other provinces coming to visit, so the exhibition is definitely the place I take everyone to.”
