"Forces and means of the Southern Urals emergency services were dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, they found a Mi-8 helicopter on fire in a forest," the regional office of the Russian Emergency Ministry said in a statement, according to TASS news agency.
The fire was also extinguished and the bodies of three people were found, with no casualties on the ground, according to the announcement.

Earlier, a spokesman for the Russian aviation agency said that there were four people on board the Mi-8 and they were killed. The spokesman also said that the incident occurred when the helicopter was on a training flight.
Also according to TASS, previous reports said that a Mi-8 belonging to the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) crashed in a forest near the settlement of Prudny and all those on board the helicopter were killed.

Chelyabinsk Governor Aleksei Teksler also wrote on social media that the Mi-8 helicopter belonged to the FSB and the helicopter crash did not cause any casualties on the ground, according to AFP.
Last month, TASS reported that four people died in the crash of an Mi-8 helicopter in Russia's Altai Republic.
