Lieutenant General Nguyen Quoc Thuoc receives 80-year Party membership badge

On the afternoon of August 28, in Hanoi, Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, visited and respectfully presented Lieutenant General Nguyen Quoc Thuoc with the 80-year Party membership badge.

Speaking at the ceremony, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Bui Thi Minh Hoai expressed her deep gratitude for the great contributions of Lieutenant General Nguyen Quoc Thuoc to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation. The Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee affirmed that with nearly 80 years in the Party, the Lieutenant General always upheld his sense of responsibility, excellently completed all assigned tasks, and made an important contribution to the struggle for independence and national unification. His entire revolutionary life is a shining example of communist qualities, a noble image of "Uncle Ho's soldiers".
On the occasion of the Lieutenant General's upcoming 100th birthday, Secretary of the City Party Committee Bui Thi Minh Hoai wishes him good health, longevity, happiness and to continue to be a solid support for his family, the Ngoc Ha Ward Party Committee and the Hanoi City Party Committee.

Lieutenant General Nguyen Quoc Thuoc, born on February 3, 1926 in Nghe An , was a pre-uprising cadre, participating in the revolution from April 1945. He was admitted to the Party on July 1, 1947. His military career was associated with heroic historical milestones, from a student of the 5th Army Officer School, the Reconnaissance Platoon Leader of the Binh Tri Thien front, to important command positions at the Central Highlands front in the period 1967-1975.
In particular, in March 1975, he was Chief of Staff of the Central Highlands Front, Chief of Staff of the historic Central Highlands Campaign. Later, he continued to hold important positions such as Chief of Staff of the 3rd Army Corps, Commander of Military Region 4 and a member of the Party Central Committee. He was also honored as a Hero of the People's Armed Forces and an Outstanding Citizen of the Capital in 2022.
Expressing deep emotion at the attention of the Party and State, Lieutenant General Nguyen Quoc Thuoc wished to always be healthy to receive the 85-year Party membership badge and beyond, to continue to witness the unceasing growth of the Capital and the country in the new era.
