Entering the semi-finals of the 2025 Southeast Asian U23 Championship as group B winners, coach Kim Sang-sik and his team will face U23 Philippines on July 25. The three tall central defenders of U23 Vietnam continue to be a safe barrier when competing with the naturalized players of the Philippines.
Evaluating the opponent in the semi-finals, coach Kim Sang-sik affirmed: "We will prepare carefully to aim for victory. The Philippines is the away team, which will be different from facing the host Indonesia. However, they are a balanced team and have naturalized players. We have carefully analyzed their playing style and will have appropriate preparations."
