Ho Chi Minh City University of Science enrolls two new majors in microchips and semiconductors.

Candidates take the Ho Chi Minh City National University's capacity assessment exam at the University of Natural Sciences

In 2024, Ho Chi Minh City University of Science will enroll more than 3,900 students (expected to increase the target by 10% compared to last year). The school will maintain 6 stable enrollment methods this year.

Method 1 is direct admission, with priority given to admission according to the regular university admission regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.

Method 2 is priority for direct admission and priority for admission according to regulations of Ho Chi Minh City National University.

Method 3 is admission based on the results of the 2024 high school graduation exam.

Method 4 is admission based on the results of the 2024 capacity assessment exam organized by Ho Chi Minh City National University.

Method 5 is admission based on the results of the international high school training program, applicable to Vietnamese candidates studying at foreign schools in Vietnam or abroad.

Method 6 is admission based on the results of international language certificates combined with high school study results applicable to Vietnamese candidates.

Master Hoang Thanh Tu, Deputy Head of the School's Information and Communications Department, said that this year the school plans to open new majors in microchip design and semiconductor science and technology. The new majors aim to meet the demand for high-quality human resources for the development of the microchip-semiconductor industry in Vietnam and the world . In addition, the school continues to develop university training programs with enhanced English to meet the needs of integration and meet international accreditation standards.

Also according to Master Thanh Tu, this year, the University of Natural Sciences in Ho Chi Minh City grants full and partial scholarships (equivalent to 100% or 50% of the first year's tuition) to students admitted with high achievements in majors/groups of majors in the fields of natural sciences and life sciences. Specifically, including: physics; oceanography ; nuclear engineering; geology; geological engineering; environmental science; environmental engineering technology.
