On January 3, Saigon University announced the Resolution to establish the Institute of Socio -Economic Research and awarded the certificate of registration for scientific and technological activities. The event marked an important step forward for the university in promoting scientific and technological activities, aiming to become a research-oriented university, meeting international standards by 2035.
Associate Professor Dr. Pham Hoang Quan, President of Saigon University, said that realizing the growing social demand for scientific research and application of multi-disciplinary science and technology , the university has repeatedly discussed the need for a center specializing in socio-economic research. The mission of this center is to conduct socio-economic research, provide strategic consulting, train skills and transfer scientific knowledge to promote innovation and sustainable development, towards a new era of development.
