From the model "Farmers teach farmers"

(Baothanhhoa.vn) - From the movement of good farmers in production and business, farmers have replicated the model "Farmers teach farmers" to conduct vocational training in the method of good farmers in production and business directly "holding hands, showing work", combining theory with practice in the model. From there, they support each other in production development, building collective economic models, developing production according to the value chain, connecting with consumer enterprises in the direction of sustainable commodity development.

The deer antler farming model of Mr. Le Van Lam's family in Dong Sinh village, Phu Nhuan commune brings in hundreds of millions of dong in annual income.

From the movement, many advanced models, outstanding examples, representing the spirit of hard work, creativity, self-reliance and self-strengthening of the peasant class, with the determination to rise up to become rich, take the lead in shifting the economic structure, breaking the monoculture in agricultural production, along with land accumulation, boldly applying scientific and technological advances in cultivation, livestock breeding, investing in expanding production and business, thereby establishing enterprises or cooperatives that were awarded the title of excellent Vietnamese farmers and typical agricultural cooperatives by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union . On average, each year the movement of farmers competing in production and business has attracted nearly 300,000 farmer households to register for the competition and more than 200,000 households have achieved the title of good farmer households in production and business at all levels, of which in 2024, the number of good production and business households with an income of 200 - 300 million VND is over 68,000 households, with an income of 300 - 500 million VND is over 17,000 households, with an income of 500 million to 1 billion VND is over 6,000 households, with an income of 1 billion VND - 5 billion VND is over 756 households, with an income of 5 billion VND - 10 billion VND is 279 households.

Mr. Le Dinh Sy in Dong Hon village, Nhu Thanh commune has boldly invested, built barns, and developed a model of raising bamboo rats. The model is impressive because of its scale, quantity, and investment in barns. In 2021, Mr. Sy invested in building a barn for over 100 million VND. After a period of care and raising, the bamboo rats reproduced and were healthy, without any disease, his family started following the farm model and built more barns. With experience in raising bamboo rats and understanding this subject, Mr. Sy has been successful and the number of the herd is gradually increasing. He is currently continuing to expand the scale and multiply the breeding bamboo rat herd to 300 to meet market demand. Up to now, his bamboo rat herd has had good output when many restaurants in and outside the province regularly order commercial bamboo rats. It is estimated that the model brings his family hundreds of millions of VND in income each year. To achieve this result is not only the success in technical care but also the result of the dedication of an enthusiastic and bold farmer in thinking and doing. The model has brought high efficiency and can be replicated for people in the commune to learn and develop family economy , increasing income.

Or the deer antler farming model of Mr. Le Van Lam's family in Dong Sinh village, Phu Nhuan commune with more than 50 deer. Currently, fresh deer antlers are sold for 15 - 18 million VND/kg. In addition to selling fresh deer antlers, Mr. Lam also breeds and lets deer reproduce to sell the breed. After 3 - 4 months, the deer can be sold for 12 - 15 million VND/deer (male deer) and 8 - 10 million VND/deer (female deer). Every year, he sells dozens of deer breeds to the market, earning hundreds of millions of VND.

The movement of farmers competing in production, good business, solidarity to help each other get rich and sustainably reduce poverty has encouraged and motivated members and farmers to promote the tradition of solidarity, mutual love, helping poor households to escape poverty in many forms: providing capital, seeds, labor days, agricultural materials, technical guidance, ways of doing business; sharing with the difficulties and losses of people in areas affected by natural disasters such as floods, droughts, and epidemics. On average, every year, the association at all levels has mobilized good farming and business households to create jobs on the spot for more than 238,000 workers, of which 199,000 workers have regular jobs, more than 39,000 workers have seasonal jobs; providing capital, seeds, animals and production experience to 8,000 farming households, contributing to supporting and helping 4,000 farming households in difficult circumstances to escape poverty; actively participate in new rural construction, social activities, and social security in the locality.

Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Farmers' Affairs Committee, Provincial Fatherland Front Committee Vu Thi Thanh Xuan said: "The above results have affirmed that the movement of farmers competing in production, good business, solidarity to help each other get rich and sustainably reduce poverty has been developing strongly, spreading throughout the province, in all fields of agricultural, forestry, handicraft and service production; has positively impacted the province's socio-economic development program; the material and spiritual life of farmers has been improved and enhanced, the security, political situation, social order and safety of the province have been maintained, the countryside is increasingly rich and beautiful".
