The lobster, like Louis Vuitton's signature monogram, is a symbol of luxury. For the Fall/Winter 2025 menswear collection, current creative director of menswear, Pharrell Williams, combined the two to create a hot handbag.

The collection is a collaboration between Pharrell Williams and one of his longtime collaborators, Japanese streetwear designer Nigo. The two previously collaborated on sunglasses during Marc Jacobs' tenure as Louis Vuitton's creative director.

The Louis Vuitton lobster handbag is rumored to cost up to $18,000. However, this is not the only lobster-shaped accessory in the Fall - Winter 2025 men's fashion collection.

Lobsters are no stranger to the fashion world . Designer Elsa Schiaparelli (founder of the Schiaparelli brand) first introduced lobsters as a fashion statement in 1937.

At that time, she collaborated with surrealist painter Salvador Dalí to create a lobster-printed organza silk dress.

Under the tenure of creative directors Bertrand Guyon and Daniel Roseberry at Schiaparelli, lobsters appeared in many high-end fashion designs, from dresses to jewelry.

Other designers including Philip Treacy, Thom Browne and John Galliano have also created lobster-themed fashion pieces. Philip Treacy created a Swarovski-encrusted lobster headpiece for Lady Gaga in 2010.

Thom Browne frequently taps into the playful animal world in his seasonal collections, debuting a lobster-shaped backpack crafted from full-grain calfskin leather that is no longer in production.
