The Clean Up
the World campaign is an initiative launched by the United Nations Environment Programme in 1993, which has now spread to more than 180 countries with the participation of hundreds of millions of people, calling on the community to act together for a green, clean and safe living environment. Vietnam officially joined the campaign in 1994 and every year it is deployed in the third week of September with many meaningful activities such as: planting trees, collecting waste, fighting plastic waste, protecting the ecosystem and responding to climate change.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union Nguyen Tran Phuong Ha affirmed: Implementing the Project "
Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Dong Nai province participates in environmental protection and climate change response", in recent times, the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee has deployed to all levels of the Youth Union from the province to the grassroots to promote the organization of activities on environmental protection, tree planting, forestation, environmental landscape improvement, and climate change response. Through movements and activities, it has contributed to solving environmental pollution problems in the locality and associated with propaganda and mobilization of union members, youth, and the masses to implement environmental criteria in building advanced new rural areas and urban civilization.
In particular, responding to the movement "For a green Vietnam" and the project "Planting one billion trees in the period of 2021-2025" in Dong Nai province, hundreds of thousands of trees have been newly planted and cared for in vacant land, bare hills, rapidly urbanizing areas, industrial parks, schools, armed forces units, etc. Thereby contributing to the number of newly planted more than 25 million trees in the whole province compared to the target of 20 million trees set out in the project.

Within the framework of the program, the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee presented 1,000 trees and 70 waste sorting bins to support the locality in environmental protection and climate change response; and presented 20 gifts, each worth 750,000 VND to families of former youth volunteers, people with revolutionary contributions and policy families in Chon Thanh ward.
