The inter-commune road Van Mieu - Kha Cuu is seriously degraded.

The road from Van Mieu commune to Kha Cuu commune, more than 20km long, connecting 4 old communes: Van Mieu, Kha Cuu, Dong Cuu and Thuong Cuu commune, has long been in a state of serious degradation. This is the main traffic route serving the travel and economic development needs of nearly 2,000 households. However, the degradation of the road for a long time is a constant obsession for the people here.

A series of "potholes" are like traps for traffic participants on the inter-commune road Van Mieu - Kha Cuu.

According to the reporter's records, this route is currently filled with "buffalo potholes" and "elephant potholes", vehicles must find all possible directions to avoid deep holes; there are places where the road has collapsed, creating large water holes after rain, posing a very high risk of traffic accidents. Many times, vehicles passing through here have to stop to ask for help, causing local congestion. This situation has lasted for a long time, greatly affecting the lives and work of the people.

The Van Mieu - Kha Cuu inter-commune road often has heavy trucks circulating, so the degradation is increasingly serious.

Mr. Chu Tuan Kien, a truck driver, said: I have never seen a road as bad and degraded as the Van Mieu - Kha Cuu route. More than ten kilometers but there are many "buffalo potholes" and "elephant potholes", making it difficult to control the vehicle; sometimes when encountering oncoming vehicles there is no place to avoid, especially dangerous for motorbikes because the road is slippery, the vehicle can easily slip and fall onto the road.

The long-standing deterioration has greatly affected the lives of the people and the potential risk of traffic insecurity is always present when traveling on this route. The local government has repeatedly proposed and recommended that superiors pay attention and invest in upgrading the road, but due to limited resources, repairs have so far only been carried out on a few small sections.

On rainy days, traveling becomes more difficult and dangerous.

The "potholes" take up almost the entire roadway.

Talking to reporters, Mr. Dinh Manh Hung, Vice Chairman of Kha Cuu Commune People's Committee shared: Currently, the road from Van Mieu Commune to Kha Cuu Commune (formerly Thuong Cuu Commune) is about 15km long and has not been upgraded and is in a state of serious degradation. The Party Committee, the government and especially the people of Kha Cuu Commune hope that the Party, the State and the province will pay attention and mobilize resources to invest in renovating, repairing and renewing the road so that people can travel with less difficulty.

Kha Cuu is one of the mountainous communes with many difficulties, the long-term deterioration of the road has greatly affected the travel of the people. As the main traffic axis connecting the mountainous communes, the early renovation and upgrading of the Van Mieu - Kha Cuu inter-commune road is an urgent requirement to ensure the people's lives, contributing to promoting the local socio -economic development.
