For commercial banks, at the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam ( Vietcombank ), the listed exchange rate is 26,112 VND/USD (buy) - 26,502 VND/USD (sell), down 29 VND compared to August 28.

Meanwhile, the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam ( Agribank ) traded USD at 26,170 VND/USD (buy) - 26,515 VND/USD (sell), down 15 VND for buying and 80 VND for selling. Meanwhile, the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) set it at 26,170 VND/USD (buy) - 26,502 VND/USD (sell).

Currently, foreign currency exchange points on the free market are listed at 26,650 VND/USD (buy) - 26,720 VND/USD (sell), unchanged in both directions compared to yesterday morning.

In the world market, the DXY index measuring the health of the USD compared to other major currencies in the currency basket decreased by 0.34 points to 97.9 points. The USD weakened against major currencies as traders expected the US Federal Reserve (FED) to cut interest rates next month.

Meanwhile, the euro rose 0.43% to $1.1688, the pound also rose 0.13% to $1.3516. Against the Japanese yen, the dollar fell 0.40% to 146.815 yen. The dollar fell to its lowest level against the yuan in the international foreign exchange market since November, closing down 0.46% to 7.1190 yuan.
