Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee rewards businesses that have excellently fulfilled their tax payment obligations in 2024

This afternoon, February 28, the Provincial People's Committee held a conference to commend and reward enterprises that have excellently fulfilled their tax payment obligations in 2024. In 2024, in the context of many economic difficulties and challenges, the total domestic revenue in the province reached 3,622 billion VND, equal to 123% of the ordinance estimate, 122.7% of the People's Council estimate and 130% compared to the same period in 2023.

Domestic revenue excluding land use fees and lottery was 2,628 billion VND, reaching 124.7% of the ordinance estimate, 124.7% of the People's Council estimate and 109.3% over the same period in 2023.

To support businesses and people to restore production and business, recently, the Provincial Tax Department has focused on implementing tax and fee support policies. In addition, it has focused on processing tax refund dossiers for businesses and individuals in the area; simplifying administrative procedures, improving the quality of tax declaration and payment services.

In 2025, the tax sector will develop an action program and resolutely and synchronously deploy solutions to strive to successfully complete the assigned state budget collection task of VND 3,850 billion.

Speaking at the conference, Acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ha Sy Dong acknowledged and commended the efforts and major, positive and effective contributions of the business community and economic sectors that the provincial leaders always identify as important driving forces of the economy.

In order for the business community to continue to develop, truly worthy of its leading role, the driving force of development, the Acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested departments, branches and localities to continue to pay attention, accompany and provide maximum support for business development in the spirit of the Prime Minister 's direction "Do not say no, do not say difficult, do not say yes but do not do"; focus on promptly removing difficulties and obstacles, thoroughly handling outstanding and long-standing issues, creating favorable conditions for businesses and investors to promote production and business.

Continue to promote administrative reform in a strong, public and transparent manner; increase the application of information technology, provide online public services to serve people and businesses quickly, with the best quality and efficiency.

It is recommended that the provincial business community focus on improving management capacity, expanding markets, seeking opportunities and constantly improving product quality, and having a business strategy suitable for the current stage.

Closely follow the major orientations on socio-economic development of the Resolution of the 17th Provincial Party Congress and especially the Planning of Quang Tri Province for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050 and other development plans to boldly seize investment opportunities in a number of the province's strengths. Strive to build a truly strong business community, firmly standing in the marketplace, contributing to building Quang Tri increasingly rich and civilized.

On this occasion, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 33 enterprises that excellently fulfilled their tax payment obligations in 2024.
