The Provincial People's Committee summarizes military recruitment work in 2024

Today, November 15, the People's Committee of Quang Tri province held a conference to summarize the military recruitment work in 2024; deploy the task of selecting, calling citizens to join the army and perform military service in 2024. Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Military Service Council (NVQS) Vo Van Hung chaired the conference. Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Military Service Council Dao Manh Hung; Commander of the Provincial Military Command, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial Military Service Council, Colonel Nguyen Huu Dan attended the conference.

In 2024, the work of selecting and calling citizens to join the army in Quang Tri province will be implemented with quality according to the motto "Whoever is recruited, that person is sure". Along with thoroughly grasping and strictly implementing the above documents and instructions, the Provincial Military Service Council focuses on leading and directing the functional agencies to advise, coordinate, and closely cooperate to well implement the stages and steps, in accordance with the process, ensuring democracy, publicity, fairness, compliance with the law and close to the actual situation of each locality.

Propaganda and education work was promoted from the grassroots level. Coordination, cooperation, file penetration, military number finalization, and military call-up were carried out in accordance with procedures. 100% of the military quota was met, ensuring quality and efficiency. The military handover ceremony was conducted strictly, seriously, safely, and on time. The reception and establishment of the new soldier training framework were fully implemented, and the re-inspection work was carried out according to plan.

The conference focused on discussing and assessing the current situation, difficulties and obstacles in the selection and recruitment of citizens for military service. Thereby, it agreed on the direction and tasks to effectively carry out military recruitment in 2025.

Concluding the conference, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Hung acknowledged and highly appreciated the results of the military recruitment work in 2024, affirming the very serious, responsible and drastic "participation" of the entire political system, especially the Provincial Military Command as a standing agency, which advised the Provincial Military Service Council to lead and direct the organization to properly and fully implement all stages and steps of selection and calling citizens to join the army to ensure democracy, publicity, compliance with the law, and meeting the assigned targets.

In 2025, Quang Tri province was assigned the target of selecting 1,000 citizens to perform military service and 318 citizens to perform military service. To successfully complete the task, the Provincial Military Service Council requested all levels, sectors, and local Military Service Councils to continue to do a good job of leading, directing, and synchronously implementing measures, promoting the role and responsibility of the entire political system, in which the Military and Public Security agencies are the core, and departments, branches, and socio-political organizations advise, coordinate, and promote extensive propaganda among the people.

The recruitment process focuses on implementing well all stages and steps regarding health, politics, qualifications, and culture; implementing well the military rear policy; organizing the military handover ceremony to ensure unity and compliance with regulations, striving to successfully complete the 2025 task.

On this occasion, the Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 12 collectives and 10 individuals with many achievements in military recruitment in 2024.
