On February 11, leaders of Bien Hoa city ( Dong Nai ) coordinated with relevant units to inspect the construction progress of the road and embankment project along the Dong Nai river from Hoa An bridge to the border of Vinh Cuu district.

During the inspection, the working group noted that the construction organization of the project was "very poor" in terms of construction, machinery, equipment and human resources. It is worth mentioning that this situation has been noted many times but the investor and contractor have not fixed it.
According to Bien Hoa city leaders, this is a large, important, and meaningful project for the locality, but progress is slow and work is still in disarray.
“The progress between the investor’s report and the actual construction volume is not consistent, making it difficult to complete in May as planned. The project is behind schedule, but the construction organization is spread out and inconsistent,” the Bien Hoa city leader emphasized.
According to the report, up to now, the Dong Nai riverside road project has completed more than 72% of the construction volume, the embankment project has completed more than 93% of the contracted construction volume. However, in reality, some sections have not seen much progress compared to two months ago.
According to actual records, the construction sites along the river are still sparse.

Faced with the above situation, the city leaders requested the Bien Hoa City Project Management Board to propose appropriate and effective construction solutions and at the same time urge contractors to speed up the project progress.

“The investor needs to review the construction capacity of the construction units. If any unit does not meet the capacity, the advance payment must be withdrawn and the remaining volume must be transferred to other joint venture units. The project must be urgently constructed during the dry months and completed before the 13th Bien Hoa City Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term,” Mr. Ho Van Nam, Secretary of the Bien Hoa City Party Committee, requested.
The Dong Nai River embankment and road project is 5.2km long with a total cost of nearly 2,000 billion VND from the state budget. The project started at the end of 2021 and is expected to be completed in 2023. However, site clearance has encountered many difficulties during the implementation process, so the project is behind schedule compared to the plan.
