DNVN - Sharing at the "10th National Scientific Conference on Stroke and Related Neurological Diseases" on November 2, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Thong - Chairman of the Vietnam Stroke Association affirmed that there are many diamond and platinum certificates in emergency treatment of stroke patients. Vietnam is on the world map as a place with good stroke treatment.
According to Professor, Doctor, Doctor Nguyen Van Thong - Chairman of the Vietnam Stroke Association, more than a decade ago, Vietnam was a country that was not on the world map of stroke treatment capabilities. But in recent years, Vietnam's position in stroke treatment has changed dramatically.
“There are many diamond and platinum certificates in emergency treatment of stroke patients. Our Vietnam is on the world map as a place for good stroke treatment. The leadership of the World Stroke Association has been to Vietnam and highly appreciated the professional capacity of stroke treatment centers in our country.
Even after visiting the Stroke Center of Phu Tho General Hospital, the World Stroke Association said that Vietnam has many well-developed stroke treatment centers, not inferior to other countries in the world," said Mr. Thong.
According to the Chairman of the Vietnam Stroke Association, over the past two years, domestic stroke emergency centers have continued to receive many diamond awards recognized by the world for their ability to treat strokes. The Vietnam Stroke Association has built a map of stroke admission, emergency and treatment facilities so that people can access them more easily.
The Association has stepped up the implementation of initial emergency activities based on coordination with the 115 emergency center to transport stroke patients. At the same time, information dissemination about this disease to the community, including completing a documentary on stroke, preparing to widely screen it nationwide.
To be able to diagnose and treat stroke better in the future, Mr. Thong recommends promoting professional training for medical staff. Strengthening coordination between different specialties to improve treatment effectiveness. Public awareness of stroke also needs special attention.
