Vietnam always values and wishes to promote the traditional friendship with Kyrgyzstan.

Deputy Foreign Minister Le Thi Thu Hang had a phone call with the Deputy Foreign Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic.

During the phone call, Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang affirmed that Vietnam always attaches importance to and wishes to promote the traditional friendship with Kyrgyzstan; emphasizing that over the past time, the political and diplomatic relations between the two countries have had positive developments, with the highlight being the official visit to Vietnam by Kyrgyzstan Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliev in March 2025 and the meeting between Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliev on the occasion of the two leaders attending the 16th Annual Pioneers Meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Tianjin, China in June 2025.

Expressing his delight at the positive developments in bilateral relations, Kyrgyzstan's Deputy Foreign Minister Meder Abakirov sincerely thanked the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs for its careful coordination in preparing and honoring the official visit to Vietnam by Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliev.

Deputy Minister Meder Abakirov agreed to maintain direct contact between the two Foreign Ministries at the Deputy Minister level and relevant units to coordinate promptly and closely in promoting contacts and exchanges of delegations at all levels, especially at high levels, to enhance political trust, creating a basis for promoting cooperation in areas where both sides have strengths and potential, especially in trade, investment and tourism, while urging the ministries, branches and agencies of the two countries to deploy corresponding areas of cooperation; requesting the two sides to promptly discuss and handle issues arising in bilateral relations and in the work of protecting the rights and interests of citizens and legal entities of the two countries.

Acknowledging the results of cooperation between the two Foreign Ministries in recent times, the two Deputy Foreign Ministers agreed that the two countries' Foreign Ministries need to continue to closely coordinate to promote the active and effective implementation of agreements reached between the two countries' senior leaders, including urgently negotiating and signing agreements, creating a solid legal corridor for bilateral relations such as the Economic Cooperation Agreement, the Investment Promotion and Protection Agreement, the Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement, the Visa Exemption Agreement for citizens of the two countries, etc., contributing to deepening the traditional friendship between Vietnam and Kyrgyzstan.

On this occasion, Deputy Minister Abakirov invited Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang to visit Kyrgyzstan and conduct political consultations at a suitable time to promote relations between the two Foreign Ministries and between the two countries.
