Destination promotion - promoting bilateral cooperation
The event is part of a series of tourism stimulus activities, aiming to achieve the goal of welcoming 25 million international visitors in 2025 as directed by the Government.
The program was hosted by the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, with the participation of Mr. Pham Van Thuy - Deputy Director of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism - along with 31 domestic tourism agencies and businesses, 28 travel agencies and hotels.

The event aims to promote Vietnam’s unique tourism products and services to Indian partners and tourists, while creating a forum for businesses from both countries to meet and expand cooperation. This is also an activity that contributes to increasing the presence of Vietnam’s tourism brand in the potential South Asian market.
Within the framework of the program, many diverse activities were deployed to promote the image of Vietnamese tourism and expand cooperation connections.
Notably, the business-to-business (B2B) networking activity gathered about 150 delegates from travel companies, hotels, airlines, and tourist parks in Vietnam and India, creating conditions for parties to meet, introduce products, and seek cooperation opportunities.
At the same time, the program provides updated information on tourism infrastructure, favorable visa policies (e-visa with a stay of up to 90 days), and a diverse product portfolio such as island resorts in Phu Quoc, Da Nang, Khanh Hoa, experiences exploring the Northwest, the Mekong Delta, cultural and heritage tourism in Hanoi, Hue, Ha Long...
The artistic highlight of the event was the traditional performances by artists from the Vietnam National Music and Dance Theatre. Through the sounds of flutes, monochords, and pipa, the audience was guided and introduced to the cultural depth and unique identity of the country.
In addition, the business meeting combined with the lucky draw program was organized as an open space for the Vietnamese delegation to interact with Indian businesses, associations and media agencies. The meaningful gifts given not only created a connection but also added to the appeal of the event.
Indian market - great potential for Vietnam tourism
India, with a population of over 1.4 billion, a rapidly growing middle class and an increasing demand for foreign travel, is becoming a strategic market for Vietnam. Indian tourists favor island resorts, luxury tourism, honeymoon tours, weddings, and MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences) - the existing strengths of Vietnam's tourism.

Simple e-visa policy, reasonable cost and direct flights from 7 major cities of India to Hanoi , Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Phu Quoc have opened up favorable conditions for Vietnam to welcome new visitors.
In 2023, Vietnam recorded more than 392,000 Indian visitors. This number increased sharply in 2024 and the first 7 months of this year. India has become one of the 10 largest tourist sending markets of Vietnam.
Mr. Sandeep Arya - Indian Ambassador to Vietnam - once said that Vietnam is a very attractive destination for Indian tourists, with the number increasing over the years.
He commented that Vietnam is doing very well in promoting tourism, from enhancing information, upgrading infrastructure, and increasing flights.
Many leading experts also believe that Vietnam has all the strengths to attract more of this type of customer. The gap between Vietnam and India is not too far.
Recently, there are more direct flights connecting the two countries, making it very convenient for travel. From Indian airports, it only takes about 4-5 hours for tourists to travel to Vietnam.
Speaking at the program in Bengaluru, Mr. Pham Van Thuy emphasized: "Vietnam always welcomes Indian friends with open arms. We believe that this event will open up many new cooperation opportunities, contributing to bringing the Vietnam - India tourism relationship to a new height."

On this occasion, holding the program in Bengaluru - "Silicon Valley of India" and Hyderabad - the center of technology, cinema and finance, is considered a strategic choice. These are large cities, with a large concentration of middle and upper class - potential customer groups with high demand for international travel.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism affirmed that it will continue to step up promotional activities in India, aiming to diversify international markets, reduce dependence on traditional markets, and at the same time promote investment and trade cooperation, creating momentum for the sustainable development of Vietnam's tourism industry.
