National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue and the delegation of high-ranking leaders of Vietnam and China attended the ceremony to celebrate the 10th anniversary of flights to China and announce Vietjet 's Ho Chi Minh City - Xi'an route.
National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang and senior leaders of the two countries congratulated Vietjet on its anniversary and welcomed the new route during an official visit to China.
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang congratulated Vietjet on its 10-year journey of connecting and expanding the Vietnam-China flight network with the new Ho Chi Minh City - Xi'an route. The Deputy Prime Minister also believed that Vietjet will continue to open many new routes connecting the two countries, contributing to promoting trade, enhancing mutual understanding and sharing, and actively contributing to deepening the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between Vietnam and China.

Since its first flight in 2014, Vietjet has carried more than 12 million passengers on all routes connecting Vietnam's political, economic, cultural and tourism centers with nearly 50 popular destinations across China, contributing to deepening and enhancing the comprehensive strategic partnership and building a Vietnam-China community of shared future.
At the event, Vietjet also announced the opening of a direct flight route from Ho Chi Minh City to Xi'an from this summer, with just over 4 hours of flight time per leg, 4 round-trip flights per week. The flights connecting Ho Chi Minh City with Xi'an not only meet the travel and cultural exchange needs of people and tourists, and expand trade between Ho Chi Minh City and the Northwest region of China, but also demonstrate Vietjet's continuous development in the Chinese market.
