Vinh Phuc and Vingroup Corporation signed a cooperation agreement on green transformation.

On the morning of November 23, Vinh Phuc province and Vingroup Corporation signed a memorandum of understanding on comprehensive cooperation on green transformation, within the framework of the Conference "Green transformation - awareness and action for a sustainable future of Vinh Phuc".

Accordingly, Vinh Phuc province will coordinate with Vingroup to research and develop the Green Transformation, Green Growth, and Sustainable Development Program for the province in the period 2025-2030. In particular, the key areas of green transformation include Green Tourism, Green Industry, Green Agriculture, Green Urban Infrastructure, Green Transportation, and Green Lifestyle.

The agreement helps to maximize the strengths of both sides, creating important opportunities to promote green transformation and sustainable development locally, towards the common goal of reducing net emissions to 0 (Net Zero).

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Duy Dong spoke at the Conference "Green transformation - awareness and action for a sustainable future of Vinh Phuc".

The People's Committee of Vinh Phuc province will also promote and accompany the program "Fierce Vietnamese Spirit - For a Green Future" that Vingroup is launching through specific actions such as researching and introducing locations for charging stations; supporting and creating conditions for people, civil servants and public employees in the province to make a green transition to using electric cars and electric motorbikes; prioritizing Vietnamese people to use high-quality Vietnamese goods; gradually promoting environmentally friendly tourism and travel.

The Provincial People's Committee will also study and deploy a plan to use electric buses in the province, ensuring compliance with the conditions, actual situation and green energy conversion roadmap as prescribed in Decision No. 876/QD-TTg dated July 22, 2022 of the Prime Minister.

Ms. Le Thi Thu Thuy, Vice President of Vingroup and President of VinFast Global, affirmed that the VinFast electric vehicle brand has become the clearest proof of Vingroup's commitment to promoting green transformation.

The two sides will also seek opportunities and create conditions for businesses in Vinh Phuc province to participate in the supply chain and ecosystem of Vingroup Corporation, and at the same time have cooperation activities to improve capacity, promote investment, trade and production with businesses in the province.

Speaking at the signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement, Mr. Tran Duy Dong, Chairman of Vinh Phuc Provincial People's Committee, said that the signing of the comprehensive cooperation agreement with Vingroup Corporation is a new and important boost in the process of building a developed and sustainable Vinh Phuc to concretize the objectives of the Project to attract strategic investors to invest in Vinh Phuc province until 2023 and the Project to support connection, linkage and cooperation between provincial enterprises and FDI enterprises to gradually participate in the global supply chain, improving provincial competitiveness.

The Vinh Phuc Provincial Government believes that Vingroup will bring specific, creative and effective solutions in the areas where the province is in need of attracting investment.

Along with that, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also acknowledged and highly appreciated Vingroup Corporation for actively and proactively implementing activities and events on the sidelines of the conference.

With the determination of both sides, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee hopes that the signed contents will be implemented, achieve practical results, and reap many successes.

I believe that the cooperation agreement with the People's Committee of Vinh Phuc province will help Vingroup have the opportunity to bring high-class products and services to the people, agencies and businesses in the province, thereby contributing to the development of the province and improving the quality of life of each person."

In addition, from November 23-24, Vingroup Corporation will organize the VinFast Car Roadshow event - Journey of "Fierce Vietnamese Spirit" at Ho Chi Minh Square, with many activities such as displaying and test driving electric cars, electric motorbikes, experiencing Vinfast electric buses and many other sideline activities.
