On July 29, in Phu Quoc City ( Kien Giang Province), the Naval Region 5 Command held a conference to study and research political education topics for phase 2 in 2024.

At the conference, delegates studied and learned 3 topics including: Building a team of cadres to meet the requirements of the Army's tasks in the new situation; improving political mettle and determination for soldiers in the face of impacts from current military conflicts in the world; promoting achievements in the first 6 months of the year, determined to excellently complete the tasks of the Service and Regional Command in the last 6 months of 2024.

The conference aims to educate cadres and soldiers to grasp the basic contents of political education topics in phase 2 of 2024. Thereby, raising awareness of the situation, tasks, political mettle, determination; building a team of cadres at all levels to meet task requirements; contributing to building a clean and strong party organization, a comprehensively strong, exemplary, typical unit, excellently completing assigned tasks.

After the Regional Conference, agencies and units under the Naval Region 5 Command continued to organize research and study of political education topics for phase 2 in 2024 for the remaining subjects and at the same time organized inspections and evaluations of soldiers' learning outcomes according to regulations.
On the same day, the Naval Region 5 Command launched a peak emulation campaign with the theme: "Proud of tradition - Continuing the feats - Deserving of Uncle Ho's soldiers" to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024) and the 35th anniversary of National Defense Day (December 22, 1989 - December 22, 2024).

The competition period is from July 31 to December 31, 2024. The competition content focuses on doing well the work of political and ideological education, building the will and determination for officers and soldiers; competing to excellently, comprehensively, exceeding the target, finishing early the military and defense tasks, building the Party Committee of the Region in 2024 and the entire term 2020 - 2025; competing to well organize activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army, the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day and towards the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Naval Region 5 Command.
