Low pressure area in the East Sea strengthens into tropical depression

According to the bulletin of the Central Hydrometeorological Station, at 7:00 a.m. this morning, the center of the tropical depression (TLD) was at about 20.0 degrees North latitude; 119.0 degrees East longitude. The strongest wind near the center of the TLD was level 6 (39-49 km/h), gusting to level 8; moving west-northwest at a speed of about 10 km/h.

It is forecasted that by 7am tomorrow, July 5, the tropical depression will move west-northwest, about 780km northeast of Hoang Sa special zone, at a speed of 10-15km/h and is likely to strengthen. The strongest wind near the center of the tropical depression is level 6-7, gusting to level 8. The area affected is from the northeast sea of ​​the North East Sea.

By the morning of July 6, the tropical depression changed direction to the east-northeast, at a speed of 15-20 km/h and was likely to strengthen. The tropical depression was operating in the waters southwest of Taiwan (China), with winds of level 7, gusting to level 9. The area affected was from the waters northeast of the North East Sea.

From the next 48 to 72 hours, the tropical depression will move northeast at a speed of 15-20km/h.

Under the impact of the tropical depression, the northeastern sea area of ​​the North East Sea will have thunderstorms and strong winds of level 6, sometimes level 7, gusting to level 9, rough seas, waves 2-4m high. Ships operating in the above dangerous areas are likely to be affected by thunderstorms, whirlwinds, strong winds, and big waves.
